I Built a FREE Sound Library Browser for Adobe Premiere

Tired of searching through folders every time you need a sound effect in Adobe Premiere Pro? I had the same issue, so I built Digitweaks Sounds, a free sound library browser that works directly inside Premiere Pro. Digitweaks

Sounds lets you organise, search, preview and import your existing sound effects without leaving your editing workflow.

No subscriptions, no activation, and no need to move or reorganise your audio files. Is it perfect? Certainly not, but it's useful.

🎧 WHAT CAN DIGITWEAKS SOUNDS DO?

  • Browse your existing sound libraries directly inside Premiere Pro.
  • Search by filename, folder path, tags and descriptions.
  • Preview MP3 and WAV files with interactive waveforms.
  • Mark your favourite sounds for quick access.
  • Add sound effects directly to your Premiere timeline.
  • Back up your catalogue and export favourites as JSON for AI-assisted workflows.
  • Keep your existing folder structure and audio files exactly where they are.

💚 *FREE DOWNLOAD – PAY WHAT YOU WANT*

Digitweaks Sounds is available for free. If you find it useful and want to support further development, you can choose to contribute any amount.

⚙️ *COMPATIBILITY*

  • Adobe Premiere Pro 25.6 or newer
  • Tested with Premiere Pro 2025 and 2026
  • Tested on macOS Sonoma 14.7.5
  • Windows compatibility has not yet been tested
  • Sound effects are not included. The extension works with your own libraries.

I built this tool to solve a problem in my own editing workflow, and I'm sharing it with other editors who might find it useful. If you try Digitweaks Sounds, let me know how it works for you and what features you'd like to see next.
